Pool Covers in Stirling
Coastal salt and wind, or inland leaves — keep it covered
The City of Stirling covers a lot of ground and two fairly different kinds of pool. Closer to the water — Scarborough, Trigg, Karrinyup — you're dealing with salt and wind. Further inland through Innaloo, Balcatta, Dianella, Mount Lawley and Doubleview it's established street trees, which means leaves in the pool from autumn onwards.
Both problems have the same answer: keep the pool covered when you're not in it. A Daisy solar cover keeps leaves and dirt out, holds the heat overnight, and stops up to 99% of evaporation. For heavy leaf load, a dedicated leaf and debris cover is worth looking at on top of the solar cover.
Near the coast
Sea breezes pull heat and water off an open pool quickly, and salt air and strong afternoon sun are hard on cheap covers. A thicker Daisy solar grade stands up to that better and lasts longer. On the roller, stainless steel or anodised aluminium frames cope with salt air far better than bare steel.
Leafy inland suburbs
Under big street trees, the cover does as much cleaning as it does heating. Leaves that land on the cover can be tipped off, instead of sinking to the bottom and staining the pool. You'll spend less time with the leaf rake, the filter and skimmer do less work, and the chemicals go further.
If the pool sits under trees for much of the day, you'll also get less heat from the sun, so holding onto the warmth you do get matters more. Keeping the cover on overnight and whenever the pool isn't in use makes the biggest difference.
Tight side access? Consider an Under Bench Roller
Older Stirling suburbs often have tight side access and not much room around the pool, which rules out a big roller parked on the paving. The Daisy Under Bench Roller solves that — it's a poolside bench seat with the cover wound away underneath, in four finishes, manual or electric. A compact manual roller from $320 is the other option.
Pricing
Daisy solar covers start at $14.45 per square metre, cut to your pool's exact shape, including freeform and kidney pools. Our pool cover guide compares the grades, and the full range is in the shop.
