About the Daisy 250B Solar Cover
The 250B is Daisy's entry-level solar cover and the cheapest way to get a quality Australian-made cover on your pool. At $14.45 per square metre, an 8 x 4m pool comes to $462.40 for the cover, cut to suit your pool.
It uses Daisy's UltraDome bubble. It's a thinner material than the 400 and 525 grades, so it carries a 3-year pro rata warranty rather than 5 or 10.
Over a Perth summer an uncovered pool loses around 8mm of water a day to evaporation, which on an 8 x 4m pool is more than 250 litres every day. A floating solar cover stops most of that, holds the day's heat in overnight and keeps leaves and dust out of the water.
Common questions
How do I work out my size?+
Measure the longest length and widest width of the water in metres and enter them on this page. The price updates as you type. Daisy cuts the cover at least 300mm longer and 150mm wider than the numbers you give, so it can be trimmed to the exact edge.
Can I fit it myself?+
Yes. On a rectangular pool it's a genuine DIY job: float the cover on the water bubble-side down, let it settle in the sun for a day, then trim it to the pool edge with sharp scissors. If you'd rather not, choose an installation option above and we'll do it.
Do I need a roller?+
You don't have to have one, but people who own a roller use their cover far more often. Manual rollers start at $320 for small pools.
