ThermoTech Blue is Daisy's 4.5mm insulated foam pool cover, at $43.60 per square metre with an 8-year pro rata warranty.
On an 8 x 4m pool the cover comes to $1,395.20. If you run a heater, this is the cover that protects that spend.
Perth nights cool off quickly, even in summer, and an uncovered heated pool loses much of what the heater put in overnight. An insulated cover keeps that heat in the water.
Common questions
How is ThermoTech different from a bubble cover?+
A bubble cover lets sunlight through to heat the water. ThermoTech is a 4.5mm closed-cell foam that insulates instead, so it is mainly for keeping in heat you have already paid for with a heat pump or gas heater.
Is it heavy to handle?+
It is thicker and stiffer than a bubble cover, so on all but small pools it is best paired with a roller.
